We made it! Left at 13:25 from Kathmandu and just landed 25 min ago. Lukla airport was closed for a few hours due to low clouds and poor visibility but a small window opened. The scramble of airplanes out of Kathmandu was hilarious. At least 5 flights left to Lukla round about the same time, when we took off the previous plane was just taking off. The landing is every bit as hair-raising as I remember from the last time.
Well deserved round of applause to the pilot.
Still planning to get to Pakding before 5 pm. Snatched victory out of the jaws of defeat.
